Make-Ready by Alex and Handyman Alex LA use information you provide to answer service questions, prepare estimates and handle appointment requests. For privacy requests, call or text (818) 732-0732.

Information collected

When you contact us, you may share your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, preferred contact method, job description, calculator selections, requested date and time, and up to four job photos. Avoid including private documents, people or unrelated details in photos. If you call or text, your phone provider handles that communication.

Forms, photos and appointments

Where online forms are enabled, requests and photos are stored in private website storage and an email notification is sent to Alex. A requested time is not confirmed until Alex reviews it. After Alex confirms or proposes another time, an email or text is sent to the contact details you gave. When online requests are unavailable, the site prepares an SMS draft for you to review and send yourself; the site does not receive an unsent draft.

AI assistance

If you use AI chat, your messages and the recent conversation are sent to OpenAI to generate a response. The separate Handyman assistant can also send a photo you choose. Cloudflare Turnstile checks requests to help prevent spam. Chat history is held in page memory and clears when you reload, navigate away or choose New chat. When you choose Continue to request, the editable job details are temporarily kept in this browser tab’s session storage to fill the request form. That draft is removed when the form reads it, expires after 30 minutes, and is cleared when the tab closes. We do not save chat transcripts in the site’s inquiry database. OpenAI may retain data under its API data policies; we request responses without stored conversation state. Do not share sensitive personal information there. AI answers are preliminary; Alex personally confirms work, price and scheduling. Free-text AI replies are available only when the service and spam protection are connected. Quick answers and contact links remain available otherwise. Chatting does not submit a request or notify Alex.

Analytics and advertising

The website may use Google Analytics 4, Google tag or Google Tag Manager and Google Ads measurement when connected. These tools can use cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits and actions such as calculator use, calls, texts and submitted requests. Advertising identifiers and campaign parameters may help us understand which ads led to inquiries. We do not intentionally send names, phone numbers, email addresses, job descriptions or photos to analytics. Your browser settings and Google privacy controls can limit cookies.

Why information is used and who receives it

We use requests to contact you, evaluate the work, schedule service, prevent spam and improve advertising. Cloudflare hosts the website and stores submitted requests and photos. Resend sends email notifications. If SMS confirmation is enabled, Twilio delivers it; if AI is enabled, OpenAI processes the question and chosen photo. If measurement is connected, Google processes analytics and advertising events. We do not sell your contact details or photos.

Retention and security

Requests and job photos are retained only as long as reasonably needed for follow-up, service records and legitimate business needs, then deleted. Photos and request records are kept in private storage with restricted access; no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may retain records longer where required by law or needed to resolve a dispute.

Your choices

You can call or text instead of using online forms or AI. To ask about, correct or delete information you submitted, call or text (818) 732-0732. We may need to verify that the request is yours. External links, including Google and Instagram, have their own policies.

Changes

We may update this policy as site features or providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
